Boris Dubrovskiy and Josef Maršíček talked about partnership opportunities for the Chelyabinsk Region and the Czech Republic.
This is the first time Mr. Maršíček has visited the Chelyabinsk Region. In his welcome speech addressed to the Consul General and his colleagues, Boris Dubrovskiy referred to long lasting successful partnership between the region and the Czech Republic in multiple economy areas and social policy. «Today, the opportunities far exceed actual achievements regarding both common turnover and total investments,» declared the Governor. «At the present time, the Chelyabinsk Region accommodates 12 high-performing companies with Czech participation. A number of our smelters jointly with Czech partners initiated common localization and procurement projects. Our traditional partnership is primarily based upon the previous cooperation experience marked with a deep trust of South Ural companies in consistent high quality of Czech products and flawless reputation of Czech partners.»
In his turn, Consul General in Yekaterinburg told about some Czech projects which could be of interest for the South Ural economy, including metallurgy, production of hydraulic equipment, development of eco-friendly technologies for housing and public utilities. As agreed by the parties, during the first six months of 2016 a delegation of Czech businessmen will come to the region to discuss the available partnership opportunities in detail.
Mr. Maršíček also said that the South Ural residents still had a taste for traveling to the Czech Republic: the Consular Agency issues about 80 visas to residents of the Chelyabinsk Region every month.
