The Governor of the Chelyabinsk region participated in the ceremonial reception on the results of the agricultural year. The head of the region presented the winners of the 2015 regional agroindustrial competition with certificates.
Addressing the farmers, Boris Dubrovskiy thanked the audience for diligence, professionalism, and patience. He mentioned that due to the farmers, the Chelyabinsk region is supplied with bread by 254%, with meat – by 129%, with hen's eggs – by 163%, with potatoes and vegetables – by 136%.
«As for food security, the region is safe to the maximum extent. Grain harvest amounted to 1 million 700 thousand tons. I am glad that our southern districts, primarily the Bredinskiy, managed to get its revenge for the recent years’ bad weather. Churilovo and Agapovskiy greenhouse complexes have reached the planned capacity ahead of schedule - this winter they will supersede a half of all imported fresh vegetables, which is very important under the current conditions. The second in Russia duck farm has come into existence in the Krasnoarmeyskiy district. At present, nine projects are in progress amounting to over 13 bln rubles», the Governor summarized the main results of the agrarian year.
Dubrovskiy emphasized that this year agrarian achievements of the Chelyabinsk region have been repeatedly highly appreciated at the highest level. Thus, the region received a record-breaking number of awards at the 2015 Golden Autumn All-Russian exhibition. The agrarian international cooperation program of the region excited great interest at the Russian-Kazakhstan Forum in Sochi.
In the opinion of the Governor, one of the main tasks faced by the government of the region in the agroindustrial sector is ensuring quality logistics. That is why the construction of an agroindustrial park for agricultural products acceptance, storage and processing is scheduled on the basis of Yuzhnouralsky Transport and Logistics Center. «This task is important, and we hope that it will allow us to strengthen our agroindustrial sector. Besides that, in spite of the deficit budget, regional support to the farmers will be increased in the next year and it will exceed 1 bln rubles. Not only large enterprises will be supported but peasant farm enterprises as well», emphasized Boris Dubrovskiy.
It should be added that the results of the regional competition in the agroindustrial sector were summarized in 26 nominations. The competition revealed the best machine operators, combine operators, drivers, and mechanical milking operators. All the winners received the Governor’s awards, the awards fund amounted to 1 mln 420 thousand rubles. The Troitskiy district was recognized the best agricultural area of the year.
