“Chelyabinsk City Dairy Plant 1” was established in 1935. At first it produced kefir. Some time later the company began to manufacture milk and other dairy products for Chelyabinsk region. At the initial stage the whole production was manual; the shops had semiautomatic bottle filling machines and cake cheese & curd packaging equipment.
The dairy flourished in the 70s, the range had up to 50 items. Those times the volume of 250-300 tons of milk was processed daily, the plant produced 150 tons of finished products.
During perestroika the plant became an open joint-stock company. In 1997-1999 it suffered from a considerable slump. From 600 liters up to 5 tons of milk was processed daily, the dairy plant produced 8-15 tons of finished products. 1999 was a watershed period – since then the production capacity grew by 6 times.
Today the company operates on the dairy market of the South Urals with success. The dairy invests into continuous renovation and production growth. Innovative technologies of milk processing are adopted, lab quality control is enhanced. The dairy plant produces over 50 items under “Pervy Vkus” brand.
