Karagay forest is a unique place in Chelyabinsk region located in Verkhneuralsk district. 9,000 ha are covered by ancient pines and larch trees. This is the only place where Siberian larch grows. The tree is of the same age as Ivan the Terrible. It is 3 girth thick, 40 m high. The other larch tree exudes resin which turns into gum looking like amber.
These are salubrious places. The relict wood has such properties which rejuvenate people making them feeling cheerful and full of energy. Karagay forest has its own mineral springs; healthy sapropelic mud is brought from the renowned deposit Yakty-Kul.

They can undergo some therapy there or just relax as the resort has up-to-date medical equipment and offers comfortable conditions as well as necessary infrastructure for good recreation.
